Even the best balanced and highly engineered braids can benefit by the addition of protective coatings.  There are many benefits, the most significant being enhanced abrasion resistance.  Coatings can include colouration for identification and can alter the texture of a slippery fibre to provide greater interaction between cover and core.

• Bindacoat and Urethane options
• The impregnation of Bindacoat adds the dimensions of handling, wear resistance and fibre binding to the slippery texture of Spectra®
• Urethane impregnation enhances the abrasion resistance of a braid by forming a protective barrier to the braid fibres beneath

Donaghys hand held Hot Knife Cutters come with a Donaghys' carry case. In addition to the standard electronic model, we also have a cordless portable model that allows the user to maximise time on the job. The carry case includes a product manual, small spanner and wire brush. The Cordless model includes Lithium-ion rechargable battery and charger.

This Hot Knife Cutter is designed for use on bench tops. The bench top model is suitable for continuous operation with fixed blade (working range 100mm) for quick and clean cutting and sealing of fine cords, braids and ropes.

Donaghys Rope Measurer accommodates rope and cordage from 6mm to 20mm in diameter.  The toothed Measuring Wheel and Stainless Steel Pressure Shoe assure uninterrupted NO SLIP contact with cordage.

Donaghys Ski Braid is made from monofilament polyethylene and hollow in construction. Splicing is easy where the plait can be fed inside the hollow core and when tensioned the eye loop makes a soft handle of loop for lead fittings.

Donaghys range of multi purpose synthetic braids are strong, lightweight and abrasion resistant.  They are suited to a wide variety of general purpose applications.

Donaghys Shock Cord is built to withstand the toughest environments.  Years of development have produced a quality engineered durable Shock Cord that will consistently allow better than 100% elongation and recovery making it ideal for marine and industrial applications.

Donaghys Sash Cord is a general purpose braid of Solid Braid/Spiral Braid configuration providing excellent handling, knotting and non kink performance.  Sash Cords are available in Cotton and Polyester fibre constructions.

GP Chafe Guard is a protective wear sleeve made from Stealth (UHMwPE) fibre.  Designed for protection of sheets and other ropes in high abrasion applications such as Halyard ends.

Donaghys' Life Buoy Cabinets are sold in complete units supplied with a removable cover, encapsulated floating line holder and 30 metres of 8mm braided floating heaving line (Life Buoy not included).

Donaghys Nylon Dock lines have a water resistant coating to prevent strength loss that occurs when wet. Higher twisting of yarns and strands produces a denser, rounder rope with high abrasion resistance that is less likely to snag. Controlled manufacturing ensures a line that is well balanced, torque free and won't unlay under heavy loading.

Donaghys Flexline is an attractive 12 strand black Polyester docking braid with an abrasion protective coating.  Hollow in construction, this braid is highly efficient and simple to splice.

Donaghys 8 strand nylon rope is heatset and will hold it's shape and size to ensure hassle free anchoring.  It flakes well into anchor wells and is much easier to stow than 3 strand anchor ropes.

Donaghys 3 strand nylon anchor pack comes complete with Stainless Steel thimble in one end.  This anchor warp will sink in water and has good strength and elasticity. The rope comes pre-spliced with a minimum of 4 tucks to ensure reliability.

Donaghys PE Silver Rope Anchor Pack is a 3 strand Polyethylene anchor pack, complete with Stainless Steel thimble in one end. This anchor rope comes pre-spliced with a minimum of 4 tucks to ensure reliability.

Donaghys PP Boat Rope Anchor Pack is a 3 strand polypropylene anchor pack, complete with Stainless Steel thimble in one end.  This anchor rope is pre-spliced with a minimum of 4 tucks to ensure reliability.

Donaghys' Polyester Rope is manufactured from Polyester fibre, the second strongest of conventional man-made fibres behind Nylon.  This rope has good strength, easy handling, coiling and knotting along with excellent abrasion resistance.  Polyester Rope is ideally suited to a wide range of general and industrial applications, including safety lines in the Height Safety sector.

Donaghys Winchline® is 8 times lighter and 70% stronger than Steel Wire rope. Coated with Donaghys Armorcoat, this braid has high abrasion resistance and can be customised with covers and fittings to suit specific applications.

Donaghys' Soft Shackles are the perfect replacement for the traditional metal snap shackle and screw shackles. Soft Shackles are a versatile tool with many applications. The shackles are adjustable and made to connect strops or slings to vehicles, blocks or sheets on a boat.

Donaghys Superbraid is a high performance yacht braid developed through exhaustive testing on super yachts, Jules Verne, The Race, Whitbread, Volvo Ocean Race, America’s Cup, IOR, IMS, IMR and Olympic yachts.  This development programme has seen subtle but significant changes to Superbraid as fibre technology and manufacturing techniques improve. Superbraid Performance Tec is a high performance yacht braid, specially engineered using state-of-the-art Mageba Thermofixation treatment. Superbraid Performance Tech has all the features of Donaghys Superbraid and the added benefit of a High Tenacity Technora/Polyester blended cover for enhanced protection from heat and abrasion resistance over traditional HT Polyester covers.

Superlite dinghy line is a lightweight rope designed for dinghy control lines. This braid has little to no stretch compared to a 100% Polyester line.
